Tour of palladian villas – half or full day

 The Venetian nobility, that occupies the fertile lands of the Region to exploit them economically between the XV and the XVIII century, next to their fields, builds even the Villa where the nobles can bring their Town Life into the Country during the good Season. In this route we propose the visit of some of the most interesting aristocratic villas of the region, both being masterpieces of Andrea Palladio, the famous master of this kind of constructions, and the ones of the XVIII century, when the architects caught the palladian teachings, and fit them to the own needs of the time.
The itinerary consists in a Bus Tour with visit of the XVI Cent. Villa Capra called Rotonda (Palladio's Masterpiece) and the Villa Valmarana ai Nani (XVIII Cent.) in Vicenza, rich of Tiepolos’ frescos. Short panoramic view of Vicenza from the Hill and possible visit to the palladian Olympic Theater (entrance fee). Lunch break in Vicenza or surroundings. Early afternoon we carry on by bus to visit Villa Emo at Fanzolo (TV) and Villa Barbaro at Maser (TV), both palladian, and both decorated with Paolo Veronese’s and/or his pupil G.B. Zelotti’s frescos.
In alternative in the morning we can visit the Villas ot the Brenta Riviera: Villa Pisani Nazionale at Strà (XVIII Cent) and Villa Foscari called La Malcontenta (Palladio). In the afternoon continuation same as above.
