Garda Lake - 3 hours or 8/9 hours

 tour lago - sirmione

Few steps away from the town of Verona you can find the greatest lake of Italy, with magical atmospheres and mediterraneans flavours, even though a couple of hours away from the cold Bavaria. In this route can be visited the most fascinating and interesting places of the whole basin, featured by warm and dreaming atmospheres.
Our proposals are more or less long in accordance with your requests. The itinerary we propose consists in a short visit of the historic centre of Peschiera, with its Austrian fortresses from the XIX century. Then it continues in Sirmione, where it will be possible to visit the Scaliger Castle and the roman ruins of an Imperial Villa (1st A.C.). Free time and lunch in a local restaurant. In the early afternoon, it will be possible to take a line (or private) boat ride to Garda, to visit the little village. Later a short visit of Lazise to admire the medieval walls and its Port with the ancient Venetian Customs House. As an alternative to the ferry cruise to Garda, it might be possible to reach Gardone Riviera to visit the Vittoriale degli Italiani by D'Annunzio or the Botanical Garden Haller (both have entrance fee). More interesting visits: Limone, Riva del Garda, Malcesine (here can be visited the Castle a small exhibition about the German Poet Goethe), or otherwise return via Desenzano and Peschiera.
