Big importance Verona got during the Middle Ages, when it was the promoter of the Lombardian Ligue and later an advanced Lordships’ town with the Della Scalas. It is rich of Romanesque churches (St.Zeno, St. Lorenzo, Cathedral), gothic (St. Anastasia, St. Fermo) and of civil buildings (Palazzo del Governo, Pal. Della Ragione). The visit has been built up for Middle School groups but even for adults who aim to learn about the Italian Medieval Towns. The sightseeing consists partly in a walk and partly in a Bus Tour. It includes the Basilica S. Zeno (interior visit, entrance fee), the Scaliger Bridge and the Old Castle, the Sgarzerie Court, Juliet's House, Market Square, Signori Square, Scaliger Tombs and the Scaliger Palace.
