General visit of Verona – 5 hours

Verona generale fd

Verona is ranged amongst the most visited towns in Italy due to its geographical situation, the richness of its works of art, its sweet climate, its beauty and the hospitality of its people.
This route is focused on those who wish to deepen their knowledge of the town, aiming to dwell not only on the most known monuments, but even visiting its churches and non-secondary squares. The sightseeing consists therefore in a Bus Tour which will show us the Renaissance Porta Nuova and Porta Palio Gates, the interior visit of the Basilica of St Zeno, including the vision of the Mantegna’s altar-piece, the famous work recently restaured (entrance fee), the Castle and Scaligero Bridge, Gavi Arch, Roman Gate "Porta Borsari" and an upride to the St.Leonhard’s Hill for a panoramic view over the town. After lunch time we’ll carry on with a walking tour in the old city-centre visiting the most characteristic points such as: the Basilica of St. Anastasia (entrance to be paid), Bra Square with the famous Roman Amphitheatre "Arena” (possible interior visit), Juliet's House, Signori Square, Erbe Market Square, Scaligeri Tombs "Arche Scaligere”. On Sundays Churches are visitable only in the afternoon.
